 Darnell Benjamin Resident Actor Darnell Benjamin graduated this spring from the University of Houston’s MFA program, under the direction of Jack Young. At UH he performed in bobrauschenbergamerica, under the direction of SITI Company member J. Ed. Araiza, and The Good Woman of Setzuan, under the direction of Kim Weild. Originally from Louisiana, Darnell graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he performed The Birds, Waiting for Godot, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Darnell spent the summer of 2008 working with Gus Kaikkonen at the Peterborough Players in New Hamphire. Along with theatre, Darnell has been trained in modern, ballet, jazz, and tap dance forms; he is also a Recognized Actor/Combatant by the SAFD. Darnell recently ended his summer working with Tecumseh! |
